Serene Pastorals

Cattle grazing on the green banks of a stream, accompanied by swarms of white storks. In the forefront there are a lot of toddy palms, and behind them rich stout coconut palms.

Unwept, unknelled

This little life played clown to many a passer by. Some careless driver sentenced him to death. And we careless humans pass by inhumanely

ഒരുപാടു ചിരിപ്പിച്ച ഈ പാവം മിണ്ടാപ്രാണിയെ മരണത്തിലേക്ക് തള്ളിയിട്ടിട്ടും ചിരിച്ച മനുഷ്യതമില്ലാത്ത കുറെ മനുഷ്യര്‍.  പൊറുക്കുമോ കാലം അവരോട്....(ഇന്ത്യന്‍ കരസേന മേധാവി സാം മനേക്ഷയുടെ സംസ്കാര ചടങ്ങില്‍ പങ്കെടുക്കാന്‍ പോയപ്പോള്‍  ഊട്ടി റോഡില്‍ നിന്നു കാമറയില്‍ പകര്‍ത്തിയ ചിത്രം)

Oh my Caravan: This elephant is being transported from Akathethara, in Palakkad district of Kerala to some other festival location. Elephants are pretty too busy during Kerala's festival season spanning October-March.

No rainclouds O! dead tree?

ഒരു മഴയ്ക്ക്‌ കാതോര്‍ത്ത് : വേനല്‍ച്ചൂടിലെ വേദനയില്‍ ഒരു തണല്‍ പോലുമില്ലാത്ത ചുള്ളിക്കൊമ്പില്‍ ഒരു മഴയ്ക്കോ ഇളംകാറ്റിനോ കാതോര്‍ത്തിരിക്കുകയാണ് ഈ കൊക്ക്. പാലക്കാട്‌ മലമ്പുഴയ്ക്കടുത്ത്, ഗ്രാമവും വനവും കൈകോര്‍ക്കുന്ന കവ എന്ന പ്രദേശത്തുനിന്ന് ഒരു കാഴ്ച.
Desolate, dry: Scorching summer has left little cover and no water. This egret is seen against a bright sky which gives no signs of rain clouds. Shot at Kava, a village bordering the Walayar forests and lying close to the Malampuzha dam reservoir near Palakkad town.

ചിനക്കത്തൂര്‍ പൂരം തനിക്കൊത്തപോലെ: കാത്തിരുന്ന പൂരക്കാഴ്ചയില്‍ ചിനക്കത്തൂര്‍ തട്ടകം ആ വേഷത്തിന്റെ  കുതിപ്പൊക്കത്തോളം ഉയര്‍ന്നു. മണ്ണിലും വിണ്ണിലും നിറഞ്ഞൊഴുകുന്ന ഈ പൂരക്കാഴ്ച  വള്ളുവനാടന്‍ സംസ്കൃതി തുളുമ്പുന്ന ഒറ്റപ്പാലം ചിനക്കത്തൂര്‍ കാവില്‍ നിന്ന്.
