Thorns and Clouds of Life

ഒരു നേരത്തെ അന്നതിനായ്:മലമ്പുഴ ഡാമിന് സമീപത്തെ മുളം കാടുകളില്‍ നിന്നും ശേഖരിച്ച ഇല്ലിക്കെട്ടു തലയിലേന്തിയ വീട്ടമ്മ....ഇതു കൊണ്ട് എത്തിച്ചിട്ട് വേണം ഒരു നേരത്തെ അന്നത്തിനുള്ള വഴി തേടാന്‍.
This housewife is seen gathering and carrying dried brambles and bamboo. This can keep her hearth alive. But what does she cook there? To earn something to cook, she now has to put this home and then toil again. The thorns and clouds are but the things that give you the zest for life, no?

The Journey of Life

For the onlookers this is a romantic landscape; for the people involved it is one of the painful drives across the Malampuzha reservoir which separates their hamlet from the mainland of Malampuzha, Palakkad.
